Material Transfer Agreement

A Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) is required before transferring or receiving materials from an outside entity. These forms help protect your invention and UF intellectual property. The MTA can take two possible forms; one for a not-for-profit institution and the other for a for-profit--both must be signed by the appropriate OTL representative. This will clearly define your intellectual property rights from discoveries made with these materials. OTL staff will be happy to help facilitate the completion of these documents since only authorized university administrators can sign these agreements. To obtain an MTA form, contact OTL.
